After 3 years of requests from our dear customers, we have finally started a raw food potluck and support group in Minneapolis, This group, named the Minneapolis Living Foods, shares a variety of healthy raw vegan foods, inspiring creativity and enhancing culinary
know ledge in an informal, pleasant atmosphere.
Thanks to Ecopolitan's donation of its lecture & meeting room to the group, there will never be any cost to participate in these potluck meetings. Yes, these meetings are FREE, and will always remain free! Our first potluck, held last Sunday, was a fine success and we hope that it will grow to include more of the community.
To participate, bring an organic raw vegan dish to share, for 6 - 8 people (PLEASE, no meat or other flesh products or derivatives, dairy, eggs, honey, or processed food over 105F). If possible, avoid soy products, corn, wheat, and peanuts, or clearly mark their presence in your recipe, to help those who are sensitive to these common allergens or those who wish to avoid exposure to foods that may be genetically engineered (or GMO-contaminated).
When: Sunday, April 24th, then the last Sunday of every month, at 5:30 PM (right after our UnCooking Classes, so you may combine both experiences to make your trip more efficient). Participants must provide their own plates, utensils and drinking glasses. Ecopolitan will provide purified water. Ask your friends to sign up for our email newsletters at www.ecopolitan.com, for future updates about these potlucks and other events.
If you don't wish to spend the time shopping for organic ingredients and preparing the dish yourself, just call Ecopolitan's Chefs (*612-87-GREEN, or 612-874-7336*) to pre-order food to be shared. Or, you can simply purchase any of our organic dried fruits and nuts (the most hygienic, fresh, ecological, yet low-priced bulk in town) or Tibetan Goji Berries to share with the group.

Dr. Tel-Oren ("Dr. T"), the President and founder of Ecopolitan and of the Functional & Dental Health (FDH) Foundation, as well as President Emeritus and Professor at the University of Natural Medicine, Santa Fe, NM and President of Integrated HealthCare Clinics, Inc., has been traveling extensively in the last several years, lecturing in many countries and cities, and training doctors, dentists, and nurses to integrate nutritional, preventive, and functional medicine into their practices. He is also educating the public about important holistic, scientific health care concepts employed by functional medicine, which utilizes advanced laboratory techniques that assess the causes for disease and the processes leading to it. This allows the practitioners to address health concerns more effectively, to prevent diseases from forming or progressing further (and frequently to reverse the process altogether), and to predict the susceptibility or sensitivity, or likelihood of developing disorders in the future.
In addition to assisting our management team with scientific, holistic, and business guidance, Dr. Tel-Oren oversees Ecopolitan's long-term development plans and the writing of our educational materials, as well as leads most of our Free Tuesday Meetings. He also guides the Nepal Treks (Yoga-Trek in November and Rhododendron-Bloom Trek in March) plus the Thailand Tropical Retreats in the winter, under the auspices of his PELC Foundation and the FDH Foundation , both functioning as agents for the University's non-profit activities. He is seeing patients just one or two days each month , plus does laboratory tests when indicated for his patients and for other doctors' referred patients. You can find more information about his activities by clicking here. To reach Dr. T (for medical concerns, or to join the FDH Foundation or any of the Treks or Retreats) please call his assistant, Joe, using our secondary phone line (612)870-2974, or email Joe.
Let us know how we're doing!
With Appreciation, ECOPOLITAN
